Netflix seeks a Game/Gameplay Director to own design across the SPIN Team’s slate of projects. You will direct the design team, be the final voice on design quality, and work hands-on in Unreal Engine 5 to prototype and tune gameplay.

The ideal candidate has at least 15 years in games, 5+ years as Game Director, deep expertise in action-adventure, and the ability to lead across multiple genres. This remote role is based in Toronto or Montreal and requires worldwide travel; compensation is annual

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of experience in games.
• At least 5 years in a Game Director role.
• Deep expertise in action-adventure and multi-genre design.
• Hands-on proficiency with Unreal Engine 5 for prototyping or tuning gameplay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full portfolio and accountability for design quality across parallel projects.
• Develop design vision and champion core design direction with project leadership.
• Go hands-on in Unreal Engine 5 to prototype or tune gameplay features when needed.
• Provide cross-genre design direction and adapt approaches by genre and audience.
• Collaborate with discipline directors to align vision, scope, and processes.
• Build and maintain design standards and documentation across SPIN projects.
• Own design leadership by mentoring designers and delivering consistent feedback.
