Job summary

Safeguard Law Group, a consumer protection law firm, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to join our Georgia practice. The ideal candidate drafts pleadings and memoranda, handles a heavy workload, and communicates with clients and the firm's main office remotely.

This role offers exposure to transactional and civil litigation in consumer law, with travel to in-court appearances as needed; candidates must be admitted in Georgia and located near Savannah to be considered.

Qualifications

• Must be admitted to practice law in Georgia.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant law firm experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Highest ethical standards and professional integrity.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior management and staff.
• Legal research skills; LexisNexis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a heavy and diversified caseload for Georgia clients.
• Communicate with clients regarding matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; review and draft agreements.
• Communicate with opposing parties to resolve or settle claims.
• Conduct legal research related to contract and other consumer law.
• Travel for in-court appearances; role is based from home.
