Job summary

Privia Health is seeking a Funds Flow Staff Accountant to support monthly close, accounts payable, billing and compliance, reporting to the Director of Finance.

The role involves entering journal entries, reconciling cash and general ledger accounts, preparing reconciliations, and documenting processes to strengthen internal controls. You will assist with special projects and contribute to the department’s goals while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 1+ years of direct accounting experience required.
• General knowledge of finance and accounting functions, including revenue, budgeting, credit, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries accurately, timely, and with appropriate supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations. Follow up on outstanding items.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial results as requested by management.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls. Ensure that desktop procedures are complete, accurate, and updated timely for areas of responsibility.
