Job summary

Memorial is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the month-end close and maintain the integrity of financial reporting. You will write and review journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare work papers as part of the close process.

Responsibilities include producing departmental financial reports, assisting with testing during system upgrades, and supporting tax schedules, inventory observations, and fixed asset audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or to obtain within one year of hire.
• Previous accounting experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the month-end close process and general ledger accounts analysis by writing and reviewing journal entries.
• Writes and reviews eliminating entries and analyzes account activity.
• Reconciles detail-to-control totals and prepares adjusting journal entries and related work papers.
• Reconciles general ledger accounts.
