Job summary

SEI's Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) is growing and seeks a Private Equity Assistant Manager to support the Fund Accounting Manager in managing the alternative investment funds team. You will supervise staff, ensure client service standards and deadlines, and participate in training and development.

Qualifications

• BA / BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 4 years experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience / management skills and/or coaching / mentoring.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge and expertise of Investran, Investier, and Geneva systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of trade processing and accounting for equities, fixed income and derivative instruments.
• Strong problem solving skills and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Your skills in accounting will be used by pricing and maintaining timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources.
• You will perform timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and provide accounting reports.
• You are responsible to communicate the transactions associated with the fund(s) and work closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
• As the record keeper for the fund, you will be involved in the coordination and support of various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
• We will need you to perform due-diligence to ensure clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations.
• You will train and supervise the accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities.
