Job summary

Petra Funds Group seeks an experienced Fund Accounting Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of fund accounting for private equity vehicles. You will manage capital activity, ensure accurate NAVs, and lead quarterly and annual reporting while partnering with investment and investor relations teams.

The ideal candidate has several years in growth equity or similar strategies, with experience in fund administration, asset management, or Big Four.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on fund accounting/reporting experience.
• A./B.S. in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration and presentation skills
• Self-starter that is able to self-motivate to work in a mostly remote team setting
• Strong analytical skills, great attention to detail, expert modeling and spreadsheet capabilities

Responsibilities

• Review capital calls and distributions prepared by fund administrator and set up client check workpapers.
• Quarterly review of closing workpapers, financial statements and capital account statements.
• Annual review of audited financial statements and footnotes.
• Detailed review of management fee and waterfall calculations and check workpapers.
• Assist Investor Servicing Team with information requests from Limited Partners.
• Coordinate draws and repayment of fund-level credit facilities with Fund Operations.
• Review expenses charged to Funds and allocations per policy.
• Review regulatory filings and due diligence materials with related departments.
• Monitor real-time cash activity during capital calls and distributions.
• Assist in posting deliverables to investor portal.
• Support creation of new documentation and best practices.
