Job summary

Petra Funds Group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to own the accuracy and timeliness of fund accounting deliverables for a portfolio of funds and co-invest vehicles. You will work closely with the client’s Controller and team, recomputing and signing off on outputs that feed investors, auditors, and tax authorities.

You will manage capital activity, treasury, quarterly closes, and tax support, with emphasis on reading LPAs and side letters, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate allocations.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of fund accounting experience at a Big 4/national firm with asset management.
• Experience with closed-end drawdown funds.
• Ability to read LPAs and side letters and translate terms into calculations.

Responsibilities

• Capital Activity: prepare and review investor allocations and ensure alignment with LPA and side letters.
• Manager Expense Reimbursement: classify expenses and review supporting docs.
• Treasury & Cash Management: manage wires, reconciliations, and bank accounts across funds and SPVs.
• Quarterly Close — Administrator Review: review close packages, allocations, and NAV builds for accuracy.
• Tax, Audit & Ad Hoc: support K-1 prep and miscellaneous ad hoc analyses.
