Job summary

EDB is a data and AI platform company enabling PostgreSQL-powered workloads across cloud environments. The role is 100% remote for candidates in EST or CST, with a strong emphasis on full-stack web development, data pipelines, and cloud infra.

You will work across JavaScript/Typescript, Node.js, Python, and AWS, building secure REST APIs and scalable data workflows. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, deep Next.js expertise, and a knack for adapting to new tech, while optimizing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript/Typescript & Node.js; with deep understanding of the Next.js framework; and strong experience with API development & integrations.
• Proven experience using Python for application development or data engineering.
• Working knowledge of AWS core services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Experience in Pipeline Development, transforming data with dbt and/or workflow tools like Airflow.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms (e.g., n8n, Zapier, or custom-built solutions).
• Strong SQL skills and experience managing PostgreSQL databases (schema designs; complex queries and optimization).
• Proficient in Git version control and implementing CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js and Node.js.
• Write clean, maintainable code in Python for backend services and data processing scripts.
• Build and monitor automated workflows and data pipelines using Airflow and dbt.
• Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Manage and deploy applications within an AWS environment, ensuring cloud best practices are followed.
• Optimize database performance and manage data migrations in Postgres.
• Quickly learn and implement new frameworks or tools based on project-specific requirements
