Job summary

EDB is seeking a Solution Developer to join our engineering team in a fully remote role for candidates based in EST or CST. You will design, build, and maintain applications spanning front-end UI and back-end data automation, using JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and Python.

The ideal candidate is a technical generalist comfortable across languages, with hands-on experience in Next.js, API development, and cloud infrastructure within AWS.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript & Node.js; deep Next.js knowledge; strong API development experience.
• Proven Python experience for application development or data engineering.
• Working knowledge of AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS).
• Experience with data tooling: dbt and Airflow; workflow tools like n8n; and task scheduling.
• Experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Zapier, or custom-built solutions).
• Strong SQL skills; experience managing PostgreSQL databases (schema design, complex queries, optimization).
• Proficiency in Git version control; experience with CI/CD workflows for stable code delivery.
• Ability to switch between UI tasks and data pipeline tasks; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js and Node.js.
• Write clean, maintainable Python for backend services and data processing.
• Build and monitor automated workflows and data pipelines with Airflow and dbt.
• Design and implement secure, scalable RESTful APIs.
• Manage and deploy applications in AWS, following cloud best practices.
• Optimize database performance and manage PostgreSQL data migrations.
• Learn and implement new frameworks or tools as needed.
