Gather AI is hiring an SDE II, Full Stack to join our India-based, fully remote engineering team. You will build and operate web platforms behind Gather AI's products—drone vision, MHE vision, and SAGE—covering dashboards, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.

You’ll work closely with senior engineers while growing ownership across APIs, backend services, databases, and production reliability. You'll collaborate across Engineering, Security, Customer Success, and Product as we scale.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Production experience with Python and Node.js/NestJS
• Experience building production-grade APIs, microservices, or backend systems
• Strong SQL fundamentals and database experience
• Experience with REST APIs and external system integrations
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts and message queues
• Understanding of caching and performance optimization
• Experience with cloud providers, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD
• Familiarity with Git workflows and secure coding practices
• Experience monitoring production systems and improving reliability
• Excellent written and verbal English communication
• Collaborative and proactive mindset

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain production backend services using Python and Node.js/NestJS
• Design and maintain REST APIs and integrations
• Work with PostgreSQL including schema design and performance tuning
• Implement asynchronous workflows with message queues
• Apply caching strategies and ensure performance
• Own features from development through deployment and monitoring
• Containerize services with Docker and deploy via Kubernetes
• Monitor production systems and troubleshoot failures
• Contribute to secure coding practices and access controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior engineers
