Job summary

Gather AI is building the data foundation for a next‑gen warehouse intelligence platform, with autonomous drones and real‑time analytics. We’re hiring an SDE II, Data Engineer, to join the India‑based remote team and own early data pipelines from the ground up.

You’ll ship scoped pipelines, extend the dbt data model, and define metrics that stay consistent across dashboards. Strong SQL, Python, and cloud experience are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years building and running production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL with joins, window functions, and CTEs, and dimensional modelling.
• Hands-on dbt, Snowflake, Databricks or equivalent experience.
• Production Python code with tests and reviews.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.

Responsibilities

• Build extraction pipelines moving data from production to analytical warehouse using incremental loads.
• Write and extend the shared data model with dbt models and metrics.
• Define metrics in the semantic layer and ensure consistency across dashboards.
• Add tests, freshness checks, and alerts; support backfills as needed.
• Maintain data lineage and apply tenant isolation in pipelines.
• Document work and collaborate across teams; ship through CI/CD.
