Job summary

Futrend Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to modernize a legacy JDK 7 Spring MVC/Hibernate monolith into a Java 21/React/TypeScript ecosystem, with AWS GovCloud deployment for federal-ready solutions.

You will own end-to-end development, migrate databases, and build API-driven frontends while collaborating with a cross-functional team on security, performance, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Computer Science or related IT field.
• US Citizenship or Green Card (Required for federal background investigation).
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Full-Stack Java Development.
• Proven track record of building/migrating enterprise applications from the ground up.
• Expertise in the "Migration Stack": Java 21, Spring MVC, Hibernate, React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to design efficient, scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, or similar
• Experience documenting technical requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical transition of legacy Spring MVC/Hibernate applications (JDK 7) to modern Java 21 standards.
• Replace legacy JSP and Taglib-based views with a modern, responsive React, TypeScript, and Node.js stack.
• Build and maintain end-to-end features, ensuring seamless integration between frontend components and RESTful APIs.
• Manage and optimize relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) during migration.
• Utilize modern AI tooling to accelerate code refactoring, documentation, and migration workflows.
• Support migration to AWS GovCloud with an emphasis on high availability and federal security compliance.
