Job summary

Remote contract Full Stack Engineer opportunity with Eliassen Group. Develop and maintain modern websites and digital products across the stack using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, WordPress and PHP.

Collaborate with product managers, designers and external teams to deliver new features with reliable, scalable code. You will debug production issues, review code, document engineering work, and participate in planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency across frontend, backend, and CMS development using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, WordPress, and PHP.
• Experience debugging production issues and improving code quality and system reliability.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in code reviews and planning.
• Excellent documentation of engineering work and adaptability to evolving requirements.
• Familiarity with AI-powered engineering tools to enhance development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Contribute across the stack by writing clean, maintainable code with a focus on reliability, performance, and simplicity.
• Work with Frontend technologies (TypeScript, Next.js, React), Backend technologies (Node.js, TypeScript), and CMS platforms (WordPress, PHP).
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and external development teams to develop and execute new features.
• Debug issues, improve code quality, and strengthen system reliability.
• Own deliverables while seeking feedback and growth opportunities.
• Complete code reviews, create engineering documentation, and participate in planning sessions.
• Iterate and improve existing systems as business requirements change.
• Use approved AI-powered engineering tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and refactoring.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support for production systems when needed.
