Job summary

Virtasant is seeking a fully remote, hands-on developer to join our client’s Development Team. You’ll build features across backend services and frontend UI, owning well-defined problems with independence and care for quality.

You’ll work with modern stacks (React/TypeScript on the frontend, Java/Go on the backend), leveraging AI coding tools to boost productivity and code quality. Strong English and 4+ years required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack software development with modern frontend frameworks and backend services.
• Strong English, written and spoken.
• React and TypeScript with JS design patterns and SPAs.
• Java and/or GoLang, data structures, SQL/MySQL preferred.
• Hands-on AI coding assistants in daily workflow.
• Familiar with cloud platforms (GCP) and infra concepts: containers, caching, distributed systems.
• Experience with Microservices.
• Independent, finish well-defined problems.
• Strong focus on unit/functional testing.
• Experience building AI-driven apps with LLMs or LangChain is a plus.
• CS/Engineering or similar technical aptitude with hands-on learning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality code for backend and frontend.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Build robust UIs using HTML5, CSS, JS/TS, React across browsers.
• Develop backend services (Java, GoLang) focusing on performance and data quality.
• Use AI coding tools daily to improve productivity and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and provide/receive feedback to improve codebase.
• Identify technical debt and propose fixes.
• Break tasks into clear, manageable pieces and deliver reliably.
• Collaborate with Product and QA to refine requirements and quality.
