Job summary

Mutual of Omaha Insurance Co. is seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and support modern digital experiences across the frontend and backend.

You will deliver scalable, reliable, and user-friendly applications using React, Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and cloud-native technologies. The role emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and continuous improvement within a team that values curiosity and accountability.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in full-stack development.
• Exceptional frontend experience with React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
• Strong backend engineering with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, MuleSoft.
• Experience with cloud-based development, preferably AWS.
• Experience with GitHub, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and secure delivery practices.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and balance quality, speed, scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and support full stack applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Build responsive, accessible user interfaces with React or similar frameworks.
• Develop scalable experience API services and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and MuleSoft.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, data platforms, and event-driven architectures.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, analysts, designers, and engineers to translate business needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD delivery.
