Dimagi is seeking a full‑stack software engineer to help develop and enhance the CommCare platform and related projects. This remote role prioritizes candidates in the Greater Boston area, with an in-person interview at the CIC office in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Fluent in Python and web development with Django.
• Proven background in building quality software for the web.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and strong communication.
• Ability to work autonomously and prioritize competing tasks.
• Familiarity with Python stack: Django, Postgres, Elasticsearch, and front-end tech.
• Experience with data engineering is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build new features using modern best practices such as version control, CI, automated tests, and daily deploys.
• Collaborate with multicultural development and implementation teams around the globe.
• Build software usable by groups facing challenges like remote locations and low literacy.
• Work as part of a team to deliver product features and functionality.
• Participate in agile process, code reviews, and release testing.
