Job summary

LIV, a leader in fire safety and compliance software, is hiring a Software Engineer to design, build, test, and ship high-quality AI-driven software for our ITM platform. You’ll partner with Product and Engineering to deliver features across the stack in a lean team, contributing ownership and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building modern web applications using one or more backend frameworks such as Laravel, Node.js, or similar.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities into customer-facing SaaS products in a production environment.
• A depth of knowledge of AI-assisted development and how AI can improve engineering workflows.
• Strong understanding of relational databases and modern web application architecture.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability, with the ability to independently drive projects and proactively solve problems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of features across our platform.
• Own projects from concept through production, including testing, deployment, monitoring, and post-release support.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code while contributing to engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI development tools as part of your daily workflow.
• Participate in thoughtful code reviews and collaborate openly with teammates.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance, and enhance system reliability.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, Operations, and Customer Success to build scalable solutions.
• Maintain a customer-first mindset when making technical decisions.
