Job summary

LIV is a leading fire safety and compliance software provider delivering ITM platforms for fire departments, businesses, and inspectors across the United States. We seek a Software Engineer who builds high-quality software, learns quickly, and thrives in a small, collaborative team.

You'll join a lean team, contribute across the stack, and work with managers to ship features in a fast-paced SaaS environment, leveraging PHP/Laravel, React, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building web apps with Laravel/Node.js backends.
• Experience with React frontend development.
• Experience integrating AI into production SaaS products.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development to improve workflows.
• Strong relational database and web architecture knowledge.
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure or Google Cloud.
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy features across the platform.
• Own projects from concept through production, including testing and deployment.
• Write clean, well-tested code and promote engineering best practices.
• Leverage AI development tools in daily workflow.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with teammates.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Ops, and Customer Success.
• Maintain a customer-first mindset in technical decisions.
