Job summary

Carlyle is seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to build its next-generation AI platform and intelligent investment applications.

You will design and develop foundational architecture, agent frameworks, orchestration layers, and APIs, enabling a live deal evaluation platform that surfaces insights, context, recommendations, and diligence findings by combining LLMs, machine learning, and retrieval systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer building production applications.
• Experience with Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go, and frontend frameworks such as React/Next.js/Angular/Vue.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and modern web architectures.
• Experience integrating enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and distributed services.
• Demonstrated experience translating AI-generated prototypes into production-grade software.
• Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Lovable, or similar.
• Experience building scalable, secure, high-performing production systems and LLM/RAG-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and modern frontend applications.
• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed services.
• Design and implement production-ready LLM, retrieval, and machine learning workflows.
• Convert AI-generated prototypes into production-ready applications integrated with Carlyle's tech stack.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and refactor code generated by AI tools to enterprise standards.
• Ensure production systems are scalable, secure, performant, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and AI engineers to deliver business-critical capabilities.
