GovCIO is seeking a Frontend Developer to build and modernize federal applications on a serverless AWS GovCloud stack. The role starts with frontend work and grows into full-stack development, including Python on AWS serverless technologies.

Remote within the CONUS is available, with a strong focus on accessibility, security, and scalability. The candidate will work with designers, backend developers, and DevOps in an agile team, delivering React/Redux-based interfaces, integrating with REST

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or related STEM field with 5–10 years frontend/full-stack experience.
• 5+ years of JavaScript development.
• 2+ years of React including Redux or similar state management.
• 2+ years of CSS and SASS.
• Experience integrating frontends with REST APIs on a serverless backend (AWS API Gateway, Lambda).
• Python for backend development.
• Familiarity with ML/AI, especially large language models and vision models.
• Automated testing with Cypress and Jest or similar.
• Git and GitHub PR reviews.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Willing to earn an AWS Associate certification within 9 months.

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain React and Redux applications in JavaScript.
• Integrate frontends with REST APIs on AWS API Gateway and Lambda.
• Develop backend services in Python on AWS serverless tech as you grow into full-stack work.
• Incorporate AI features built on LLMs and vision models, including prompt engineering.
• Ensure UI handles non-deterministic AI outputs.
• Translate designer wireframes into CSS/SASS-based pages.
• Meet Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
• Apply frontend security practices (OWASP, authentication, JWT, PHI/PII).
• Maintain frontend build chain and dependencies.
• Write unit and Cypress end-to-end tests; review PRs in CI/CD.
• Write user stories and tasks in Jira; participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement.
• Post daily status updates in Jira.
• Support UAT, ATO, and security compliance activities.
