Job summary

Aretum is seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to support and enhance a client application while ensuring accessibility, reliability, and performance in an Agile, sprint-based environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong front-end expertise in modern web technologies, JavaScript frameworks, responsive design, Section 508 compliance, and RESTful APIs, while leveraging AWS, Git/GitHub, and open-source solutions to deliver scalable, user-focused applications.

Qualifications

• 3 years of frontend development experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree (3 years of additional experience acceptable in lieu of a degree).
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
• Experience with JavaScript development using modern standards and libraries (React).
• Understanding of Section 508 compliance and WCAG standards.
• Experience with accessibility testing tools (automated and manual).
• Capable of consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience using agile methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experience creating web layouts from static images and views in full-stack frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application.
• Provide support for development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, optimization, and maintenance.
• Ensure availability and correct operations.
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle.
• Utilize knowledge of the AWS cloud environment, Python backend and TypeScript front-end.
