Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Mid-level Front End Developer to join our team. You will perform front-end design and development tasks, create design drawings, mockups and wireframes, and implement UI enhancements to improve usability and performance.

The role is remote and requires an active Secret clearance. Candidates should have strong experience with TypeScript in Angular or React, DevSecOps tooling, and containerized environments, plus a solid track record in modern front-end frameworks.

Qualifications

• Secret clearance or higher required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field required; master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 7 years of software development experience in object-oriented and scripted languages with DevSecOps, microservices and containers.
• Experience preparing, conducting, and documenting systems tests to verify operability and compliance.
• 3 years of experience with Jira and testing web-based applications.
• 3 years of experience in software development programs or projects.
• 3 years’ experience using TypeScript in Angular or React.
• Cloud environment development experience, containerized environments like Kubernetes or Docker.
• Experience integrating data from unclassified to classified deployments.
• 5 years of experience with Jenkins and GitLab.
• Experience with at least five of: NPM, Cypress.io, esbuild, Bun, Tomcat, Maven, SonarQube.
• 3 years of recent and relevant front-end development experience.
• Agile, user-centric application design with strong UI/UX standards.
• Wireframes and mockups experience for multiple user personas.
• UX design tools such as Sketch, InVision.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end design and development tasks including design drawings, mockups, and wireframes.
• Plan and implement modifications to GUIs and optimize UI elements and navigation.
• Facilitate user-friendly feature development and improve operator usability.
