Jobgether is seeking an experienced Engineering Leader to guide and develop a high-performing software team responsible for critical shared systems. You will set technical direction, oversee architecture decisions, and ensure reliability, security, and scalable design.

You will translate business goals into actionable roadmaps, drive platform improvements, partner with product teams, and foster an autonomous, career-growing engineering culture. This remote-friendly role is based in Canada.

Qualifications

• Experience leading software teams responsible for complex production systems.
• Strong background in software engineering to contribute to architecture discussions and design reviews.
• Experience designing, operating, or leading teams for distributed systems or shared platforms.
• Proven ability to deliver multi-system technical initiatives with cross-functional dependencies.
• Strong understanding of reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence in production.
• Sound technical judgment balancing long-term investments with pragmatic solutions.
• Ability to translate broad objectives into executable plans with milestones.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong people-management, feedback, talent development, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team: coach, mentor, and set clear ownership and delivery expectations.
• Define technical direction and architecture with emphasis on reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Drive platform improvements by turning business goals into actionable roadmaps and milestones.
• Improve system reliability and operational excellence through observability and production monitoring.
• Enable product teams by building reliable APIs, services, and shared platform capabilities.
• Manage execution and dependencies, identifying risks and removing blockers.
• Support organizational growth through recruitment, structure, and capability development.
• Communicate progress and health of systems to stakeholders.
