Job summary

Cross Country Mortgage seeks an experienced Mortgage Loan Partner Pre-Approval Specialist to manage borrower prequalification, pre-approvals, and pipeline execution for a high-performing mortgage team.

Remote applicants are welcomed, but Boulder-area candidates who can work in the office are preferred to ensure smooth communication with the Loan Officer, processors, and underwriters for on-time closings.

Qualifications

• Active NMLS license.
• Minimum 3 years mortgage loan officer assistant, processing, or origination experience.
• Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines.
• Experience with major LOS platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time management.
• Ability to collaborate across departments.
• Completion of regulatory and compliance training.

Responsibilities

• Prequalify borrowers and assess readiness and scenario viability.
• Pre-Approve qualified borrowers and prepare payment/scenario requests.
• Pipeline management: onboard new contracts, rate-locks, disclosures, and updates.
• Attend pipeline meetings and provide borrower and Realtor updates.
• Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy and support post-closing needs.
