New American Funding in Arizona is seeking a Mortgage Loan Partner Pre Approval Specialist to support loan officers and prequalify borrowers in a salaried role.

Qualifications

  • Active NMLS license required.
  • Minimum 5 years of mortgage loan officer assistant, processing, or origination experience.
  • Proficient in DU/DO, LP, and investor guidelines.
  • Experience with LOS-Encompass.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-up.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Completion of regulatory and compliance training.

Responsibilities

  • Prequalify: engage in conversations to assess borrower readiness and scenarios viability.
  • Pre-Approve: accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers and prepare requests.
  • Pipeline Management: manage rate lock consultations and disclosures.
  • Provide updates to borrowers and Realtors; attend milestone reviews.
  • Ensure 95%+ loan closings on time and resolve issues pre-LO escalation.
  • Offer post-closing support and after-hours assistance.
  • Maintain professionalism in all communications.

Prequalify
  • Serve as an available resource for referral partners when the Loan Officer is unavailable.
  • Engage in soft qualification conversations to help assess general borrower readiness and scenario viability.
  • Answer referral partner questions such as Condo warrantability, Bank statement borrower scenarios, recasting, and general loan structure questions.
  • Communicate effectively with all referral partners (Realtors, financial advisors, builders, and other partners) using clear, accurate, and compliant language.
Pre-Approve
  • Accurately pre-approve qualified borrowers.
  • Prepare payment and scenario requests.
  • Proactively engage pre-approved buyers.
  • Communicate effectively with referral partners.
Pipeline Management
  • Onboard all new contracts for rate lock consultation.
  • Submit applications to processing for disclosures.
  • Execute borrower updates, pre-closing, and funding calls.
  • Perform daily pipeline "gauge checks."
  • Attend pipeline meetings and milestone reviews.
  • Deliver consistent borrower and Realtor updates.
  • Review Closing Disclosures for accuracy.
  • Conduct pre-closing and congratulatory funding calls.
  • Provide post-closing support and urgent after-hours assistance.
  • Ensure 95%+ of loans close on time.
  • Resolve 95%+ of loan issues prior to LO escalation.
Additional Role Expectations
  • Maintain high professionalism in all written and verbal communication.
  • Act as a concierge between borrowers and business partners.
  • Consistently exceed borrower and referral partner expectations.
Qualifications
