Job summary

NerdWallet is seeking a Business Development Associate to drive growth in our SMB lending marketplace. You will manage a portfolio of lending partners, onboard new partners, and optimize performance through data-driven insights.

You’ll negotiate favorable terms, collaborate with Product, Sales, and Engineering, and identify new features to scale revenue and marketplace impact. A strong analytical mindset and partnership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years in business development, partnerships, or strategic account management.
• Experience managing the supply side of a two‑sided marketplace.
• Exceptional analytical skills; ability to dive deep into data sets to identify trends and opportunities.
• Proficiency with data tools (Excel, BI platforms, SQL) and translating data into insights.
• Strong project management and organizational skills in fast‑moving environments.
• Demonstrated stakeholder management, negotiation, and internal consensus building.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of high‑revenue SMB lending partnerships.
• Oversee onboarding experience for new partnerships and ensure performance ramp.
• Regularly monitor and analyze partner performance; prepare insights for reviews.
• Identify partnership growth opportunities and lead negotiations.
• Coordinate with Product, Sales, and Engineering for smooth execution of initiatives.
