Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a French Language Expert to help evaluate and improve AI systems for French-language learning. This remote, hourly contract offers flexible scheduling and global collaboration.

You will assess learner language across CEFR levels, provide clear feedback, and collaborate asynchronously with project leads to raise educational quality. Ideal candidates have native French, teaching or evaluation experience, English fluency, and a degree; no AI prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in French
• Experience teaching or evaluating learner language
• Fluent in English (C1/C2)
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
• Detail-oriented with consistent linguistic judgment
• No prior AI experience required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
• Assess learner speech and writing across CEFR proficiency levels from Pre-A1 through B2+
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and gaps in pedagogical approach
• Provide clear, structured feedback that strengthens AI tutoring and language-learning models
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI-powered French instruction
