Qualifications

• Experience in freight load planning and dispatch/operations.
• Knowledge of equipment, routes, permits, load safety and dimensions.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate freight loads with focus on safety, efficiency, and profitability.
• Determine equipment and transportation method for various freight types.
• Understand load dimensions, weight, securement, and equipment capabilities.
• Plan routes considering road restrictions, permits, clearance, and weight limits.
• Coordinate oversized or heavy-haul freight as applicable.
• Work with drivers, dispatchers, operations, customers and providers to ensure execution.
• Maximize equipment utilization and reduce empty miles.
• Ensure loads comply with DOT, safety, permits and company requirements.
• Anticipate transportation problems and adjust plans quickly.
• Communicate changes clearly to drivers and operations teams.
• Maintain accurate load and transportation documentation.
