Job summary

Chemtrade is seeking a Load Planning Specialist for remote-based work from the West Coast USA. You will support the Logistics Operations team, moving finished goods from plants to customers and coordinating with private fleets and carriers to optimize delivery performance.

The role emphasizes data-driven planning, collaboration with supply chain and customer service, and ensuring timely, safe deliveries in alignment with company goals.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, transportation, business or equivalent field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with chemical delivery, dispatching and logistics.
• Experience with industrial safety programs preferred.
• Experience with a TMS (Transportation Management System) preferred.
• Technical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch regional private fleet drivers and balance loads at the site level.
• Dispatch common carrier deliveries and balance loads at the site level.
• Optimize loads between private fleet and common carrier at all plants.
• Develop relationships with common carriers at plant/dispatch level.
• Support road logistics managers in monitoring carrier performance.
• Analyze data to increase driver utilization and plan for seasonality.
• Prepare shipment paperwork daily and provide excellent customer service.
