Job summary

Hirewell is seeking a Freight Forwarding Sales Representative to drive new business from a remote position. The role supports Des Plaines, Illinois region and remote Midwest or South options for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities include developing international airfreight and seafreight opportunities, preparing quotes, managing existing accounts, and maintaining a robust sales pipeline. Bachelor's preferred; 3–5 years in international logistics sales required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in international logistics sales required.
• Multilingual is a plus, but not required.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn quickly and meet productivity goals.
• Good organizational skills; coordinating with multiple departments.
• CRM proficiency is a plus.
• Some business travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develop new international airfreight/seafreight customer opportunities.
• Develop quotes and proposals for current and prospective customers.
• Manage relationships and grow sales with existing customers.
• Maintain an updated sales pipeline report.
• Participate in regular team and sales meetings.
• Set and execute Sales Action Plans and revenue goals.
• Engage in ongoing training to improve product knowledge.
• Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets.
• Provide monthly prospecting plans and weekly activity goals.
