Job summary

ScaleUp Financial Solutions seeks a dynamic Fractional CFO to lead finance across multiple client engagements. You will partner with clients and ScaleUp teams to support growth, financial planning, reporting, fundraising, and strategic decision-making in SaaS, AI, Deep Tech, and Consumer products.

This fully remote role offers 10–20 hours weekly initially with potential to expand to ~35 hours, compensation at $150–$160 per hour plus benefits for full-time staff and W-2 employment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of finance and accounting experience, including at least 7 years as a CFO.
• Experience working with startups and venture-backed companies.
• Experience raising venture capital.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, providing financial insight, recommendations, and solutions.
• Manage multiple client engagements and accounting staff to ensure finance and accounting activities are completed on schedule.
• Ensure financial reporting is produced according to client requirements.
• Advise clients on business strategy, including capital planning, fundraising, pricing, margins, execution, corporate structure, tax planning, HR policies, and stock issuance.
• Design and produce financial statements, KPI tracking, investor and Board reporting, and budget-to-actual reporting.
