Job summary

Robert Joseph Group is seeking a fractional CFO to provide senior oversight of accounting and finance for its commercial real estate development portfolio in Maryland. The role is hands-on, primarily remote with limited Bethesda-area on-site meetings, and initial 5–8 hours per week.

The ideal candidate will review financials, oversee project cost accounting, and support cash flow, budgeting, and lender/investor reporting for multiple entities and properties.

Qualifications

• CFO, VP of Finance, or senior Controller experience in CRE.
• Development-focused with property acquisitions and project reporting.
• Strong real estate accounting, capitalization and tax reporting.
• Experience with lenders, investors and private ownership.

Responsibilities

• Provide CFO-level oversight across entities and projects.
• Review financial statements, reconciliations and entries for accuracy.
• Oversee development cost accounting and GAAP considerations.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead and mentor accounting team and coordinate with CPA firm.
• Assist with lender/investor reporting and financing discussions.
