Job summary

athenahealth is seeking a senior FP&A Manager to lead planning, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis. You will partner with executives to shape financial strategy, drive improvements, and deliver actionable insights across the organization.

You will mentor a high-performing FP&A team, own end-to-end planning, and influence long-range budgeting across multiple service lines, while leveraging AI to optimize workflows and reporting.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years of progressive finance experience with strong analytics and modeling.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to mentor finance teams.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Lead FP&A planning, budgeting, and rolling forecasts across service lines and departments.
• Develop and maintain financial models for investments, product lines, and cost centers.
• Prepare monthly financial packages, variances, and dashboards for executives and board.
• Drive FP&A process improvements and data integrity, including AI-enabled workflows.
• Partner with executives to translate data into actionable business decisions.
• Model and present scenarios to support strategic decisions.
