Job summary

Nautilus Solar Energy is seeking an FP&A Analyst to analyze, report, and forecast capital expenditures for projects in service and development. The role supports liquidity reporting and weekly cash forecasting for construction activities, acting as a liaison across Finance, Construction, M&A, and Legal teams. Remote work with <10% travel is available.

The position emphasizes accuracy, process improvement, and automation using AI tools, with a requirement for a finance or accounting background and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Accounting or finance degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects on different timelines.
• Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
• High proficiency in Excel.
• Working knowledge of NetSuite, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI or other BI tools.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• AI power user preferred - comfortable using AI tools for data cleaning, modeling, and analysis.
• Unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Construction, Structuring, M&A, Capital Markets, Accounting, Community Solar, and Legal teams to consolidate input for forecasting.
• Prepare monthly capex budget vs. actual and budget vs. budget variance analysis, identifying key drivers and providing commentary for management review.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and project planning.
• Develop and improve current FP&A systems and processes.
• Prepare materials for liquidity meetings and yearly budgets.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Identify opportunities to automate FP&A processes by utilizing AI/LLM tools.
• Prepare materials for actuals vs modeled cash flows for Operating Portfolios.
• Handle other ad-hoc responsibilities/projects.
