Job summary

Soil Connect, a U.S.-based construction materials marketplace, is seeking a senior, hands-on engineer to serve as technical lead for the platform, reporting to the CEO. This is a hands-on role: write production code, make architectural decisions, and work directly with operators and customers to decide what to build.

The role includes finishing the new platform with Stackpoint's team, migrating live customers off the legacy system, and owning the agent layer as a greenfield project.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building software, including time as an early engineer at a startup.
• Own cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and production data, not just application code.
• Shipped a product from scratch, supported it through growth and taken responsibility for systems you didn't originally build.
• Experience shipping AI-powered workflows with tool use and outputs.

Responsibilities

• Finish the new platform and migrate live customers from the legacy system without disruption.
• Build agent workflows for intake, sourcing, quotes, and follow-up; record interactions and outcomes.
• Own data model, security and production reliability; set testing, review, deployment, monitoring standards.
• Shape priorities with the CEO and team; help hire and onboard the next engineer.
