Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC seeks a Fossil Project Manager for a remote, 1-year contract to lead E&C engagements across gas project development activities, from due diligence to construction readiness.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field and 8+ years in energy project development or large capital construction, with EPC/EPCM experience and strong scheduling/cost control capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in energy project development or large capital construction.
  • Experience in EPC/EPCM project delivery, cost estimating, schedule development, and project risk management for gas generation projects.
  • Experience in major equipment and EPC/EPCM contract procurement including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation and award.
  • Experience with combined cycle or simple cycle gas development across multiple geographies and regulatory environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project or Primavera project management and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

  • Lead E&C's participation in gas project technology and commercial due diligence. Evaluate achievable commercial commitments, constructability, site integration complexity, and utility interconnection requirements, including electrical, gas, and water.
  • Coordinate with E&C SMEs to evaluate technology-specific balance-of-plant and interconnection requirements, including switchyard and transmission infrastructure, gas and water supply requirements, and wastewater and air emissions compliance.
  • Lead E&C participation in Technology Review, capital estimate and project schedule development, and Preliminary Engineering phases across active gas development projects.
  • Coordinate E&C Subject Matter Expert resources to support gas project site configuration reviews and risk assessments.
  • Lead E&C's participation in negotiating commercial offtake agreements, permitting sites, and interconnecting processes, identifying construction-phase dependencies.
  • Partner with Integrated Supply Chain on procurement support activities – including RFQ input, commercial and technical scope review, and bid evaluation for major gas project equipment and EPC/EPCM scopes.
  • Lead schedule development, cost benchmarking, cashflow modeling, and risk-adjusted cost positioning to support project sanction decisions.

About the role: This is a remote position

We are looking for a Fossil Project Manager on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment.(W-2) Our client is advancing a significant gas generation development portfolio, and Engineering & Construction is at the center of that work. You will report to the onsite Manager. No direct reports.

You will lead E&C's engagement across selected gas project development activities – from technology due diligence and FEED studies to construction readiness within the project portfolio.
