Job summary

Roboflow is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to deploy production computer vision workflows at customer sites across the US. You will take validated proofs-of-concept to first production deployments, configuring data pipelines, models, and edge devices in real environments.

You will embed with customers, write production-grade code, and help hand off to implementations for scale. Travel ~40–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying technology in physical-world environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python; systems-level work (Docker, Kubernetes, Linux) highly valued.
• Hands-on experience deploying ML/Computer Vision models to production.
• Experience with edge computing hardware (NVIDIA Jetson, industrial cameras, limited connectivity).
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills; able to diagnose production vs. staging issues.

Responsibilities

• 0-to-1 deployment: turn proof-of-concepts into production deployments with data pipelines and edge devices.
• Deploy and operate computer vision systems on edge hardware in real-world conditions.
• Embed with customers: work on-site with their engineering teams for deployment (4–12 weeks).
• Write production-grade code for the customer environment facing real-world challenges (lighting, drift, latency).
• Be the customer advocate: surface gaps between stated needs and actual requirements to inform product.
• Knowledge transfer: document deployment architecture, runbooks, and train customer teams.
• De-risk deployments: identify/resolve risks early and propose alternatives.
• Shape deployment playbook: codify repeatable patterns and templates.
