Roboflow is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) to be the first technical hands on customer deployments. You will take proofs-of-concept into production, building data pipelines, configuring edge devices, and integrating with customer infrastructure.

You’ll embed with customer teams, deploying CV workflows in real-world environments. You’ll surface gaps between what is asked and what’s needed, feeding insights back to product and engineering to shape Roboflow’s platform and offerings.

Competenze

• Meaningful experience deploying technology in physical-world environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python; experience with systems-level work (Docker, Kubernetes, networking, Linux) is highly valued.
• Hands-on experience deploying machine learning or computer vision models to production; you understand the gap between notebooks and pipelines.
• Experience with edge computing hardware and constraints (NVIDIA Jetson, industrial cameras, limited connectivity, on-premise security requirements).
• Willingness to travel ~40–50% for on-site customer deployments.

Mansioni

• 0-to-1 Deployment: take validated proofs-of-concept to first production deployment, including data pipeline setup and edge device integration.
• Edge-First Engineering: deploy and operate CV systems on edge hardware in real environments.
• Embed with Customers: work on-site or embedded with the customer’s team during deployment (4–12 weeks per engagement).
• Production Engineering: write production-grade code in the customer environment; handle lighting, calibration, drift, latency, and hardware constraints.
• Be Our Eyes and Ears in the Field: provide feedback to Product and Engineering to shape future offerings.
• Knowledge Transfer & Handoff: document deployment architectures and train the customer’s team.
• De-risk New Deployments: identify and resolve risks early; find alternatives if needed.
• Shape the Deployment Playbook: codify repeatable patterns and templates.
