Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Forward Deployed Engineer to work remotely from the Washington DC area with customers to build and productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and implement end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development. This role is hands-on and customer-facing for builders who combine engineering expertise with business impact.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Proficient in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP with expertise in at least one.

Responsibilities

• Lead production solution delivery with reference architectures, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integration.
• Guide transformational big data projects from end-to-end design to deployment.
• Engineer secure, scalable data architectures and applications aligned with customer needs.
