Job summary

Pragmatike is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer with YC startup experience to work directly with customers, translating complex requirements into robust production systems and accelerating adoption of our AI-powered infrastructure.

This highly technical, customer-facing role blends software development, systems thinking, product feedback, and hands-on implementation as you deploy solutions, build integrations, and own projects end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python, TypeScript, Go or similar languages and strong API/integration skills.
• Experience building and deploying production software.
• Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong communication and technical problem-solving skills.
• High ownership and ability to independently drive projects.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to understand technical requirements and operational challenges.
• Build, deploy, and customize production solutions in customer environments.
• Develop integrations, automation, APIs, and internal tooling.
• Translate customer feedback into actionable product and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues across application and infrastructure layers.
• Partner closely with Product and Engineering to improve platform capabilities.
• Own projects from technical discovery through deployment and iteration.
• Develop reusable solutions that can scale across multiple customers.
• Improve deployment processes, documentation, observability, and reliability.
• Act as a technical advisor and trusted engineering partner to customers.
