Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team in Remote, New Jersey. You will turn specifications into working software quickly, build extraction pipelines for D&O and Ocean Marine Cargo, and harden prototypes into production-ready designs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering (onshore)
• 4+ years (offshore build)
• Strong Python proficiency; knowledge of TypeScript or Java a plus
• Hands-on experience building LLM applications (prompt engineering, tools/agents, evaluation, RAG)
• Experience with document processing (OCR, layout-aware parsing, classification)
• Solid API/integration skills (REST, event-driven) and cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• CI/CD, containerization and infrastructure-as-code
• Proven ability to prototype quickly with business users

Responsibilities

• Build services, APIs and workflow logic for model gateway and ingestion pipeline
• Write and maintain prompts, agent definitions and evaluators
• Implement integration components and mappings for MSIG underwriting/claims systems
• Contribute to CI/CD, environment configuration, test automation and release notes
• Work to specifications from prioritized backlog and flag ambiguities
• Keep code and artifacts in client repositories per MSIG/NTT DATA standards
• Turn specs into working prototypes quickly in onshore design
