Job summary

Praxent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with a client in the banking/payments space and ship production AI features. You will own end-to-end work streams, integrating with existing systems, data, and governance while delivering reliable, scalable solutions.

Work closely with Praxent engineers and client teams, handling design, implementation, and compliance steps. Remote U.S. candidates with strong AI/LLM experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software that other people depended on.
• Direct experience with LLM and agentic systems (RAG, agent frameworks, vector stores, evals) is ideal.
• Fluency in Python and/or TypeScript, and comfort across the stack and a major cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience embedded within a client environment integrating with real-world systems and data.
• Able to discuss technical topics directly with client engineers and teams.
• Banking, lending, or payments experience is strongly preferred, including risk/compliance coordination.

Responsibilities

• Shipped, dependable AI in the client's environment with agentic features.
• Own a work stream from understanding the client's problem to delivered solution.
• Integrate with legacy cores, governed data, and identity/infrastructure.
• Create runbooks, evals, and handoffs so client teams can operate independently.
• Collaborate with Praxent engineers and client teams to deliver results.
