Job summary

Praxent is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer who embeds with a client (bank, lender, or payments company) to build AI systems that run inside their business. You own a workstream end-to-end, from problem understanding to delivered solutions, integrating with legacy cores and governed data while ensuring compliance.

Ideal candidates ship production AI, have Python/TypeScript, and experience in regulated financial services, with a focus on reliability, client collaboration, and scalable

Qualifications

• 3+ years shipping production software in client environments with AI/LLM or similar.
• Fluency in Python and/or TypeScript; strong cloud, containers and CI/CD.
• Experience embedded with a client’s environment, integrating with real-world systems and data.
• Experience in banking, lending, or payments, including risk/compliance interactions.

Responsibilities

• Shipped, dependable AI in the client's environment with governance and handoff.
• Own a workstream from understanding the client’s problem to delivered, documented solution.
• Integrate AI with legacy cores, governed data, and identity/infrastructure.
• Provide runbooks, evals, and handoffs to let the client team operate the system.
• Earn client trust through clear communication and reliability.
