You will investigate and evaluate the cause and extent of structural damage from storms, disasters, fires, defects, accidents, and more. Responsibilities include site inspections, producing clear technical reports, and maintaining proactive client communications.

A Michigan P.E. license is required; 2+ years of forensic experience; 5–10 years preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Michigan or eligible by reciprocity.
• Minimum 2 years of forensic engineering experience; 5–10 years preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote/home office setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections to determine the cause, origin, and extent of structural damage.
• Develop clear, well-supported conclusions and produce high-quality technical reports.
• Provide timely, professional updates to clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Work independently from home while leveraging internal experts and resources.
• Drive issues to resolution with stakeholders; ensure deliverables meet standards.
• Suggest process improvements and support change adoption.
