Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Forensic Coder to perform root cause analysis and guide coding opportunities across front and back end processes. The role emphasizes education for providers, adherence to payer guidelines, and mentorship within the coding team.

The position is remote with travel to client sites as needed; requires 4+ years of coding, CPC/CCS certification preferred, and EPIC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years coding experience in medical coding.
• Expert knowledge in multiple coding specialties with front and back end coding.
• Proficiency in Medical Terminology, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general MS Office.
• Remote-eligible with ability to travel to client sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete root cause analysis of identified front and/or back end coding opportunities as assigned.
• Support/lead opportunity improvement projects as assigned.
• Research and provide coding guidance for new client service lines/services.
• Maintain workflow/process knowledge of each functional area of coding.
• Provide and/or assist with provider education, as well as the development educational tools.
• Communicates professionally with physicians, management, and peers.
• Assists with training of other coders.
• Takes initiative for learning new skills and willingness to participate in projects.
