Requirements include a Professional Engineer license, 5–10 years of electrical/forensic experience, strong technical writing, and the ability to work independently from a home office while collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience with or designing electrical systems.
• Forensic engineering experience preferred.
• Experience investigating electrical failures, fires, or explosions.
• Professional Engineer license required; CFEI/CFI preferred.
• Strong technical writing and client service skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• U.S. work authorization without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with technical tools (computers, cameras, engineering software).

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections to determine origin and extent of electrical failures.
• Develop clear conclusions and produce comprehensive technical reports.
• Provide timely updates to clients, attorneys, insurers, and stakeholders.
• Work independently from a home office, leveraging cross-disciplinary resources.
• Lead investigations through completion with high-quality deliverables.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and tools.
