Tristar Insurance is seeking a fully remote Claims Examiner (Float) to investigate and resolve complex commercial auto and general liability claims. This full-time role supports coverage evaluation, reserve setting, and settlements while coordinating with clients, counsel, and carriers.

The position requires active licenses in FL, NY, GA, or TX, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to manage claims with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 7+ years' commercial auto and GL claims experience or equivalent.
• Active adjuster licenses in FL, NY, GA or TX; nonresident licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves complex commercial auto and GL claims, including litigated matters.
• Reviews policies, endorsements, and vehicle schedules to determine coverage.
• Provides temporary coverage for other examiners to prevent backlogs and maintain SLAs.
• Maintains claim diaries and timely follow-ups on investigations and litigation activities.
• Evaluates liability, damages, and exposure; recommends reserves and settlement strategies.
• Communicates resolution strategies to clients and negotiates settlements within authority.
