Affirms is hiring a software engineer to help build and ship web applications using React and APIs at scale. You will collaborate with product, design and analytics to conceptualize features, while delivering clean, well-tested code and contributing to a reliable, scalable platform.

The role emphasizes ownership of growth, strong written/verbal communication, and the ability to navigate a large codebase. Degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

Formación

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web apps with React.
• Experience designing, developing and launching APIs at scale with Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to translate simple problems into robust, testable software across multiple components.
• Comfort debugging large code bases and conducting code reviews.

Responsabilidades

• Break down projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and collaborate for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design & analytics to balance constraints and risks.
• Contribute to uptime and reliability by monitoring metrics and supporting on-call work.
• Participate in growth and development activities such as interview participation.
