Job summary

Liftoff, a leading AI-powered performance marketing platform, is seeking a technical accounting expert in California. The role focuses on complex transactions, policy guidance, and ensuring accurate financial reporting across SBC, CapSW, debt, and equity-related areas.

You’ll own the technical accounting processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the implementation of new standards, with a remote-first, multinational setup and an attractive equity/benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6 years of experience in accounting/finance roles.
• Public accounting experience, ideally Big 4.
• Take ownership of deliverables, deadlines, risks, and outcomes with accuracy.
• Manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for cross-functional stakeholders.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entry support for SBC, CapSW, debt and other complex areas.
• Own accounting policies and their disclosures.
• Lead implementation of new accounting standards from research to operationalization.
• Own equity-related technical accounting from grant setup to disclosures.
• Prepare statements of equity and cash flows, and footnotes for complex areas.
• Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, and business teams on new contracts and billing structures.
• Support audits with technical documentation.
