Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field with ≥5+ years of experience or PhD with ≥3+ years in a quantitative field.
• Proven track record delivering data science projects that tackle ambiguous problems.
• Ability to turn data learnings into compelling stakeholder stories.
• Practical experience applying complex modeling frameworks to business problems.
• Professional experience with SQL and Python.
• Experience with digital products in iterative development cycles.
• Demonstrates core values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, efficient execution.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis and deep dives on ambiguous business problems to yield actionable insights.
• Build, tune, or evaluate online and offline ML models and AI systems used across Coinbase.
• Own a broad scope of data and metrics from definitions to visualizations.
• Guide code reviews and contribute SQL and Python expertise; maintain ETL jobs.
• Maintain high statistical rigor and lead experimentation and causal analyses.
